Cornhole is an upcoming sports video game developed by NeoBird. It is based on Cornhole, scheduled to be released for the Intellivision Amico in 2020 as one of the console's six included games, alongside Skiing, Astrosmash, Shark! Shark!, Farkle, and one unknown game that will be revealed later on in 2020 (announced as in the coming months).

Gameplay[]

The game will contain hundreds of unlockables and many different challenges, skill levels and ways to play, either with family & friends or in single player. There is one known league (Casual League (and possibly another one, Amateur League; whether the two leagues will be separate or two names for the same league is unknown)) forty countries to play in, ten of which are known to be Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Japan, China, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom, and at least nine maps (some of which will have harsher conditions that others, such as bigger board distances and stronger winds) and twelve boards (some of which will be unlockable in career mode). In addition, there will be co-op modes, playable either with real people or against the computer, and of which the entire game can be played through,[1] and there will be certain places you must win in to unlock others, and the following main menu choices will be available:

  • Career - A career mode, in which players travel around the world, and the aim is to become the champion of Cornhole. This mode will be able to be played by 1-2 players.
  • Arcade - The goal is to get as many points as possible within 30 seconds. This mode will be able to be played by 1-2 players.
  • Free Play - This mode is played like a standard match of Cornhole. This mode will be able to be played by 1-4 players. It would most likely be possible to play different cornhole scoring games like cancelation or cumulative scoring, a skins game, or team play.
  • Statistics - It would most likely be possible to see statistics related to the gameplay of the game.
  • Settings - It would most likely be possible to change the game's settings.
  • Credits - It would most likely be possible to see credits to those who worked on the game, and possibly also what was used to make the game.

Additionally, the following comment on the game has been officially made:

such a strange and uncomfortable name, but hey, we didn't come up with it! 😜 If you had to re-name this wildly popular and growing sport, what would you call it?[2]
